Bogor Palace was the official residence of all Dutch Governor Generals from 1870 to 1942.

Wayang Golek is a traditional of three dimensional wooden puppet plays. During the performance, the Dalang or puppet master sits cross legged on the floor from where he manipulates the puppets,directs the gamelan orchestra, narrates the story outline and provides the voices of every character in the play. Not merely perform for its entertainment value, wayang golek also functions to teach religion and philosophy. It is often performed at wedding, births and circumcision ceremonies.

Many different animals from Indonesia and other countries live in the 55 hectares Safari Park, which opens daily from 08.00 to 16.30. Only closed vehicles are permitted to drive through the animal enclosures.
